Matthew “Matt” Klecka brings over twenty years of legal experience as Partner to Ullman Bursa, LLC (“UB”). At UB, Matt focuses on representing assisted living facilities, home health agencies and nursing homes through all stages of judicial, regulatory and administrative proceedings.

Prior to joining UB, Matt served as General Counsel of a health-care organization headquartered in California. While there, Matt authored the entity’s policies and procedures as well as spearheaded the group’s nationwide expansion. Matt was also a Partner at Ernst & Young (“EY”) where he lead internal investigations of financial institutions.

Matt carries the experience of trying over 40 federal and state jury trials to UB and its clients. While at the United States Department of Justice, Matt investigated and prosecuted some of the nation’s most significant and high-profile matters. Whether investigating and charging an Iranian national for brokering the sale of 59 jet aircraft engines from the United States to Iran – or prosecuting a financier for an $8 billion Ponzi scheme – Matt has always been an effective investigator and advocate. Matt began his career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office (“SAO”). At the SAO, Matt investigated and prosecuted all manner of crime, including: homicide; narcotics trafficking; organized crime; and, terrorist financing.

Matt brings the same preparation, effectiveness and tenacity that has fueled his successful representation of the United States and the State of Florida to UB and its clients.
